Denise Fournier joined TCS Healthcare in June 2011 as a technical implementation specialist. “I’m looking forward to a long future with the company, learning as much as I can, and becoming an expert in the industry.” Denise is exceptionally motivated and always strives to go above and beyond to do her best not only in the office, but when she is volunteering and organizing events for the Sacramento SPCA.
Denise received her bachelor’s degree from California State University in Sacramento, and prior to joining the TCS team spent 13 years at Amdocs in the data conversions department. Her position with Amdocs was very similar to her role in the Implementation Department at TCS, even though this is her first foray into the healthcare industry.
“Applications like ACUITY provide a tremendous asset to case managers as they manage chronically-ill populations,” Denise notes. “I look forward to working with TCS’ broad range of clients to ensure that they are taking full advantage of everything that we have to offer.” Currently, her role at TCS includes working with clients on the technical side of implementations, which consists of application and set up, data imports and exports, and training.
When Denise isn’t focused on learning as much as she can at work and helping out wherever her skills are needed, she is helping support neglected animals. Nine years ago, she adopted Fred, an 80-lb. boxer mix from the Sacramento SPCA and a year later she began volunteering her time at the shelter.
“I wasn’t aware of what exactly happened at the local shelters and how much was involved,” said Denise. “I work a lot of the events such as the Reigning Cats and Dogs Wine Gala and Santa Paws.” In addition, she helps with the shelter’s book sales and mobile adoptions. Denise also photographs the smaller animals (rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, etc.) for the SPCA’s adoption website.
Her love for animals is truly admirable, perhaps even a little addicting. In addition to adopting Fred, Denise has adopted a 12-lb. terrier mix, named Monkey through a local rescue group, and a cat, Ninja, through the SPCA.
Denise is anticipating a long and rewarding career with TCS and becoming an industry expert, as well as continuing to volunteer with the SPCA. Who knows, she may even adopt another pet in the near future.
